I have participated in many conferences — few have touched or stayed with me like TED. (Specifically, Nathan Myhrvold’s session on dinosaur sex at TED 1997!) So excited to see the new TEDTalks podcast series in audio and video featuring talks from the conference launching today, with a new talk being released each week. This one’s well worth the moment it takes to subscribe. These are also the first podcasts I’ve experienced that are searchable; you can find keywords or phrases within individual TEDTalks, and then play the video from the moment they’re mentioned.

Here’s one featuring Al Gore with a hilarious and useful followup to the presentation he makes in the must-see movie “An Inconvenient Truth” outlining what we can do to avert a global climate crisis. (audio mp3 download, video mp4 download, TedTalks website)

Oh universe, now I’m getting all excited to attend the next TED and especially TED Global Africa: the Good News in Arusha, Tanzania on June 3-6th, 2007.
