British band Duran Duran are to create a virtual island within online game Second Life, on which they will perform actual live concerts. I’ll see you in the front row as my 7th grade avatar! All sorts of 80′s music messages streaming towards me today, as The Tube, a BBC show led by Jools Holland and Paula Yates that ran from 1982-1987 featuring memorable live performances by Duran Duran, Elvis Costello, Echo & The Bunnymen, Madonna, the Cure and U2 with comedy bits by the AbFab girls is set for streaming/download re-release in September at Channel 4 Radio. Hmm… is there a Tivo like app where I can just set my keywords and have all streaming video that matches it come in? Dabble? IonDB? Wish I could set it up now so I don’t have to remember in September.
